Bug Description

In the View menu, there are 'All Software' and 'Canonical-Maintained Software'.

I do not want proprietary software so I pick 'Canonical-Maintained Software'.
Then I close Ubuntu Software Center.
Next time I start Ubuntu Software Center, it has forgotten that I picked 'Canonical-Maintained Software' and now goes back to 'All Software' and now again shows me proprietary software!

Get this proprietary software advertisements out of my face!

Hi Fred, and thank you for your report. Indeed, what you describe is the current behavior of Software Center. Unfortunately, it is too late in the Precise cycle to make a change such as this, but I will set this as a wishlist item for feature planning and tracking, and this may be an item that we can discuss at UDS-Q.

Thank you again!
