SPM not loading

My Synaptic Package Manager will not load from the menu. It will load from the Terminal. Sodtware centre will load but will not install or remove programmes. Can anyone help?

I do hope someone might have a solution. This bug/incident seems to affect process that require my password. So, in addition not loading Synaptic PM without root terminal, or being able to use software centre Ubuntu tweak's janitor will not complete it's operations. Help appreciated. Thank you
