Binary package hint: software-center
Clicking on the "Installed Software" toplevel category, I would expect to see a list of all installed software. Instead, I'm presented with a list of all available packages, installed or not. See screenshot.

Are you running this from -proposed? I ran from trunk and don't get such a problem (branch code and run './software-center' from the root of the source tree.
