Binary package hint: software-center
It's not bug but a request. I know that you may open DEB packages if Ubuntu Software Center is associated to the DEB mime type, just with a double-click on the file. However, I believe that it would be desirable to have such option from the Software Center menu itself.

<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#open-package>: "At the start of the “File” menu ... an “Open Package…” item ... should open an “Open Package” file picker that allows selection only of package files." |
