software-center crashed with TypeError in fix_broken_depends(): 4 parameters needed for signal transaction-started

I tried installing a package which had unmet dependencies, a dialogue asked me if I wanted update-manager to "repair" this and then drop back to Ubuntu Software Centre to install it successfully. The error happened when I clicked "repair".
