Duplicate of bug 694836. This issue has been fixed on that bug and should be in the next release of Software Centre but we still don't know the cause of the problem so if you could add any more information to that bug report about what you were doing, and what happened to the user interface at the time we would appreciate anything you can provide.
Also, if you can manage to trigger the bug again, please let us know how to reproduce if possible.
