Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I have attempted to recreate this bug by launching software-center from a terminal session and closing it via file>close. I was unable to reproduce the issue you have reported and I also am running Ubuntu 10.10. Please answer these questions:

* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?

* Please attempt to reproduce this issue while software-center is launched from a terminal session so you can capture any messages output into the terminal. Please paste the results here.

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

Ubuntu Software Center 3.0.6
Linux 2.6.35-23-generic
Ubuntu 10.10
