Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-center

I had software-center opened and pointed at my ppa (ppa:linaro-infrastructure/launch-control-snapshots). I was trying to debug an issue where one of the packages present in the PPA was not listed (python-django-testscenarios). I started aptitude and removed then re-installed that package to check if it would refresh the software-center meta-data.

Instead of refreshing it caused the software center to crash with this python backtrace:

2010-11-18 16:28:52,501 - softwarecenter.app - INFO - software-center-agent finished with status 1
