When I attempt to install update, I get a popup that says waiting for apt-get to exit, and seem to freez here? my only remedy is to click cancel!

Bug #661868 might be related to this one, it might be even a dupe, although this report says that a popup appeared, there only the installation status is shown as waiting for apt-get to exit.
