Ubuntu Software Center does not keep record of packages uninstalled or installed

3) What I expected to happen is when I installed or uninstalled a program from the Ubuntu Software Center, a record would be kept and accessible in either the Ubuntu Software Center GUI, or in the Synaptic Package Manager.

4) What happened instead is when I uninstalled the evince package (which forced me to remove ubuntu-desktop, another matter for another bug), I looked for a record of this transaction in both Ubuntu Software Center and Synaptic Package Manager and it did not exist.

Hi! Thanks for your bug report. Synaptic only shows installations/removals made from within synaptic itself. That software-center doesn't display this is indeed a bug, as we only refresh the history pane upon opening software-center, not after each transaction. This bug has already been reported by someone else, so I will mark this bug as a duplicate of the other one. Please continue to report any bugs you may find in software-center.
