Bug Description
Binary package hint: software-center
Sir,
If I search in specific category, the search results are available. However, if I do not know the category of some software I do not get the results.
e.g. I coud not find any results for
aptoncd
even after searching all the categories
Get Software search does not give any results. It just keeps searching.
I am using Ubuntu 10.10 Alpha1.
Regards,
Satish

Hello Colonel SC Sood! Thank you very much for taking the time to report this bug and for helping to make Ubuntu better. This problem has been reported previously in bug 596443, and so I will mark this bug as a duplicate of that one. You'll be glad to know that this bug has been fixed and the fix will be available in the next development release of Software Center, which should be available soon (please refer to bug 596443 for details). In the meantime, please search from within category view or in the "Provided by Ubuntu" view as a workaround for this problem.
Please be sure to report any other issues or problems that you encounter.
Many thanks!
Gary
