1. Open Software Center
2. Go straight to the search
3. type in epiphany
4. goto the web section
5. now the browsers section
6. now type in epiphany again this time it will find it

Hi Dave, thanks for reporting this. This one has actually been reported already in bug 596443, and so I'll mark this as a duplicate of that one. Please take a look at that bug report to track the status (a fix is committed and will be released soon) and a workaround (which you have apparently discovered already as you mention in in your description).
