Thanks for your bugreport.

If you run "software-center" from a terminal, what does it print? Are there any errors in /var/log/syslog? Any screenshots that show error messages?

P.S. I think that you misunderstood my problem, I am able 2 launch software-center just fine, however when I click on install, or uninstall, nothing happens, just fyi.

The Software Center (software-center) in lucid alpha +

alpha 2 does not start in root as default.

Solution: add gksudo to the menu link and it will work!

I am sure that the Developers may change the coding or

script to make software-center start as default in root

before the official release of lucid.

Other add/remove programs likewise work if started

as root.

Minor glitch, easy to fix!

BavarianPH,

Ubuntu forever!
