Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-store

Ubuntu Software Store 0.3.4, Ubuntu Karmic

1. Open the Store.
2. Look in the bottom right corner of the status bar.

What you see: Nothing.
What you should see: A resize grippy.

Fixed in my branch, but then opens the issue of the status bar text not being centered, it seems we can only have one (unless I am wrong).

Matthew which is the most important?

Why can we have only one? Does GTK ignore alignment for a piece of text when there is a resize grippy next to it?

Basically to have a resize grippy, we need a status bar, however in the status bar, the text in now centered.

The other option is to use a text label, in which case there is no resize grippy

So how is a window supposed to be able to have a resize grippy when it doesn't have a status bar at all? For example, if it has a vertical scrollbar with a grippy below it? Is that just not possible in GTK yet?

(BTW as long as the "Fix Committed" status exists, I think it's usual to use it only for "fixed in trunk".)

This requires GTK work to allow grippies in windows that don't use the standard status bar control (or to allow arbitrary alignment of text in status bar controls).
