Binary package hint: software-store
software-store 0.2.2 - karmic:
If after viewing the details of an application, the user navigates, the right pane should display the parent list rather than the child item.
Example:
Navigate to "Get Free Software" > "Accessories" > "7zip"
Now click "Installed Software"
The 7zip details are still displayed.
Currently the user would think that 7zip is installed ("Installed Software" is highlighted). See attachment.
The "Installed Software" > "Accessories" list should be displayed instead. |
software-store 0.2.2 - karmic:
If after viewing the details of an application, the user navigates to a different section, the right pane should not (usually) stay on that application.
Example:
1. Navigate to "Installed Software" > "Firefox"
1. Navigate to "Get Free Software" > "Accessories" > "7zip"
2. Click "Installed Software".
What happens: The 7zip details are still displayed. This would lead the user to think that 7zip is installed ("Installed Software" is highlighted). See attachment.
What should happen: "Installed Software" > "Firefox" is displayed.
"Navigating to a section should display, to the extent still applicable, the section exactly as it was when it was last viewed since the Store was launched: the same department, category, search results, scroll position, etc. This memory should not persist once the Store is closed." <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareStore#Main%20window> |
