Ubuntu Software Center doesn't show updates for apps

Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 Precise with Ubuntu Software Center 5.2.9(precise-updates) . It shows only 'Remove' option for the packages that are already installed,but updateable. Users expect something like 'Update' or 'Upgrade' in place of the 'Remove' option. If a higher version of software center solves this bug please backport it to precise.
