Bug Description

Ubuntu Software Center 5.4.1.2, Ubuntu 12.10

1. Navigate to "Installed".
2. Resize the window to its minimum width.
3. Select something you no longer want installed, and choose "Remove".

What happens: The "Progress" item appears, and the search field disappears.

What should happen: The "Progress" item appears, and the search field is still visible.

This is a regression of bug 876657.

In my opinion, this is a serious usability issue. I am a computer engineer, yet I struggled to find the search box for quite some time (that is, until the "progress" icon disappeared).

To reproduce, just resize the software centre to its minimum width. I didn't have to change to installed - the search box does not appear on the default startup screen (All Software).
