Bug Description

Whenever I scroll inside the software center there is some major tearing.

This is a fresh install and I've updated everything fully and tearing only seems to occur inside that application not firefox or other programs.

Hi Zachary. We did have a previous report of what may be the issue that you are seeing, bug 998865, but that seemed to have been a temporary condition and has since been resolved outside of Software Center.

As per bug 998865, is there any chance you could attach a video of the problem? FInally, could you let us know what video driver you are using?

Many thanks for your help!
Gary

My driver is the default, non-proprietary ati/amd driver, installed from 12.04 and updated through update manager. The details section of system settings gives me an unknown for driver. My card is a [Radeon HD 6290].

  Driver: "radeon"
  Driver Modules: "drm"

  Driver Info #0:
    Driver Status: radeon is active
    Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe radeon"

Here is the video link, sorry if youtube isn't the ideal location was unsure of other places to upload.
