software-center crashed during normal use, specifically i was searching for software around the time the crash happened.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. since i mostly use apt-get/synaptic, i hadn't noticed, but almost every time i use the search box in software center, i get a popup that it has crashed and asks if i want to send a bug report. since i've already sent in this bug report, i click cancel but software center remains open and functional. if i enter new terms into the search box, i get another popup that software center has crashed, yet it stays open and i can use it. unfortunately, there are also times when using the search box doesn't cause a crash, and i can't tell if it is a certain string that is causing the crash or not. while typing up this response, i first searched for "ab" and it crashed, then i tried some others like "abc" and "ba" and also crashed. when i tried "hello" there was no crash, but then tried "ab" again and no crash also.
