Software Centre crashes immediately upon attempt to open

Bug Description
Software Center crashes upon any attempt to open through launcher or command line; the window appears briefly then closes without trying to send a bug report. Here' some basic info:
tsj@linux-laptop:~$ lsb_release -rd

AttributeError: 'ProgressBar' object has no attribute 'set_data'
Not sure if this is of any help but the Software Centre worked immediately after the 12.10 install & stopped working after I removed the extras repository and installed updates yesterday.
