Bug Description

Binary package hint: snort

When resuming Ubuntu 10.04 LTS from hibernation mode on Dell Studio XPS 1640, the process "snort" appears in "top" but not in "system monitor" (though the process is not found before hibernation under normal conditions) & is running under the user: snort. The process uses between 95 & 98% of the cpu causing one of the the core 2 duo cpu's on the studio xps to alternate the high cpu usage.

Killing the process from the terminal returns the system & cpu usage to normal.
