Bug Description
Binary package hint: snort
It would be nice to have ability to set HOME_NET snort variable to single IP address currently assigned to the network interface.
In original snort.conf it can be done by setting
> var HOME_NET $eth0_ADDRESS
But in Debian scripts HOME_NET variable is always overriden in /etc/init.d/snort by setting value from /etc/snort/
And values from /etc/snort/
Only workaround I found for this RFE is to modify /etc/init.d/snort and /etc/snort/
