Bug Description
Snap apps such as firefox do not follow / respect the selected mouse cursor theme. That's quite annoying and should be solved very soon as that issue exists for too long already.
- Kubuntu 22.04
- affects different versions of Firefox, Chromium, etc. (actually all snap apps)
- fix asap or switch back to normal ..deb packaging is required
- unfortunately nothing happened yet

Per your description, this issue is indeed not firefox-specific, so I'm adding snapd.
I'm not aware of any general solution for this at this time unfortunately, but you should be able to work around it on a case-by-case basis for each snap: symlinking or copying your cursor theme into ~/snap/ <snap-name> /current/ .local/ share/icons/ (e.g. ~/snap/ firefox/ current/ .local/ share/icons/ for the Firefox snap) should help.
