Hyper-v Ubuntu snap install lxd gives error

Bug Description

On windows 10 Hyper-v virtualization app installed Ubuntu
sudo snap install lxd gives error
error: cannot perform the following tasks:
- Ensure prerequisites for "lxd" are available (cannot install snap base "core22": snap "core22" assumes unsupported features: snapd2.55.5 (try to refresh snapd))

On windows 11 wsl2 ubuntu 22.04.3 the same error
~$ sudo snap install lxd
error: cannot communicate with server: Post "http://localhost/v2/snaps/lxd": dial unix /run/snapd.socket: connect: no such file or directory
