Bug Description

after upgrading to bionic, installed spotify via snap because of the libcurl3/4 conflict (had not tried running apps via snap in artful or prior). then updated core to --beta per bug 1756793. now spotify runs, but claims there is no network available. also tried mailspring, and it also can't see any network available, claiming it couldn't resolve the mailspring domain host name.

Are you sure it's just snaps? The journal errors attached suggest to me that your NIC may be missing firmware files or something similar:

flatpak versions of apps and apt-installed versions of apps work fine. i was, for example, able to file this bug.

Is this still an issue for you?

What is the output of `snap version`?
