snapd 2.28.5 ADT test failure with linux-aws 4.4.0.1041.43

snapd 2.28.5 ADT test fails with linux-aws 4.4.0.1041.43, it expects linux-image-extra-4.4.0-1041-aws package to be available for installation but the linux-aws source package doesn't ship a linux-image-extra.
