Bug Description

Removing desktop-ubuntu-app-platform broke any app relying on the webapp-helper.

There should be an option for developers to continue using the webapp-helper even without the whole platform or to have a different webapp-helper.

This is outside of the scope of snapcraft as it was provided as a part from another group within Canonical, the Ubuntu SDK as once known is also not a thing anymore. You are free to provide a part which would support your use case and keep maintenance on it or you can explore other means of providing webapps like electron.

To echo Sergios comment, this is outside of the scope of snapd too. But with the appropriate snapcraft part this should work fine :)
