maximised window won't resize with hot-key

Binary package hint: smplayer

if the window isn't touching all 4 sides of the screen it will resize fine on ctrl-1,2 etc. otherwise it does nothing.

updated... i thought this was related to compiz, but it happens on machines not using compiz too...
