Bug Description
Since today with mplayer together with smplayer does not work anymore. I receive:
/usr/bin/mplayer2 -noquiet -nofs -nomouseinput -sub-fuzziness 1 -identify -slave -vo gl:yuv=
Unknown option on the command line: --fontconfig
Error parsing option on the command line: -fontconfig

It is the same with mplayer or mplayer2.

Are you sure this happen with mplayer too?
I've just compiled the latest svn (35369) and -fontconfig is still working.
For mplayer2, yes they removed that option some months ago, and now smplayer (from svn r4683) doesn't use -fontconfig with mplayer2.
So the problem in smplayer is fixed, but you need the very latest version from svn.
