Bug Description

When playing the latest version of SMC from the Trusty archive, it is impossible to progress past the first world using the overworld map. Pressing the "Enter" key on the last level in the World 1 map should take the player to the World 2 map, but instead nothing happens in the game and a "Warning : Overworld not found world_2" message is printed to the console.

This issue should be fixed by https://github.com/FluXy/SMC/pull/6. Maybe we could apply that patch?

I can confirm this bug. It's not possible to proceed to world 2.

Addionally, the base of the top three levels on the world 1 screen turns invisible after entering the main menu and returning to the world screen – they can be made visible again by moving the player avatar around and waiting one or to seconds. I'm mentioning this because the bug appeared at the same time and there could be a connection.

Okay, so I took (and corrected) burlitos patch Michael linked – if you're an Ubuntu user, and looking for an easy way to enter world 2, download the source code (http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/smc-data), and edit the file src/overworld/world_manager.cpp so that the function Get_from_Path looks like in the attachment.

After that it's a matter of:

./autogen.sh
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/games
make
sudo make install
