For Mantic, please update to the new upcoming smc-tools version 1.8.3 that will be released in time for 23.10 FF.

We will update this BZ / LP item as soon as it is available at:

Thanks to Wenjia, the new smc-tools v1.8.3 is available now!

Please use this new version for Ubuntu 23.10

and the installation works also fine

as well as the package content (after I've added a path).
