smarty-gettext installs plugins to the wrong location

Binary package hint: smarty-gettext

Smarty installs its plugins to /usr/share/php/smarty/plugins, but the smarty-gettext package installs plugins to /usr/share/php/smarty/libs/plugins, so including the top level Smarty.class.php makes it unable to find the additional plugins without a symlink or extra hacks. I believe the problem is with the smarty-gettext package which needs its install location updated to /usr/share/php/smarty/plugins (or smarty could install back to the original location, either way....).

I believe this bug to be wrong. Currently at least in Debian sid, smarty expect plugins in /usr/share/php/smarty/libs/plugins and nowhere else. I don't know why you concluded something else (unless Ubuntu's smarty diverged on installation path which I doubt).
