Bug Description
After upgrading from Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 I started getting full brightness apparently at random.
It seems to be triggered after I start moving the mouse after a certain period of time. What happens is that the brightness goes to the minumum setting and then quickly goes to 100%.
I have uninstalled the smartdimmer package. I can still control the brightness using hotkeys. The only difference is that I don't see a notification in the upper-right corner.
I am using an Acer Emachines 510 laptop.
