Bug Description

After upgrading findutils in gutsy I have two entries for find.notslocate in /etc/cron.daily.

ls -l /etc/cron.daily
...
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 419 2006-03-20 07:25 find.notslocate
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 473 2007-10-03 20:36 find.notslocate.dpkg-new
...

I think the old one should be overwritten instead of creating the dpkg-new version.

findutils: 4.2.31-1ubuntu2

Thanks for your report. invalidating "findutils" task because find.notslocate is provided by slocate.

/etc/cron.daily/find.notslocate.dpkg-new was created during update, which means that /etc/cron.daily/find.notslocate has probably been modified before the upgrade. You should merge those two, and then delete /etc/cron.daily/find.notslocate.dpkg-new

However, run-parts ignores files with a dot in them, so find.notslocate and find.notslocate.dpkg-new are never run.

Thanks again.
