Bug Description

I use ubuntu 10.10 with gnome and I only have skrooge installed, so I have the kdelibs installed too. I can not start the qt4 designer it crashes every time, same for the qt4 creator when I open a ".ui" file. (Also the qt4 creator crashes randmely)

qt4 designer start :

If I remove skrooge and all the kde libraries then it works fine.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Changed in qt4-x11 (Ubuntu):

I had very similar issue: launching designer-qt4 from the command line just displayed:

QMetaProperty::read: Unable to handle unregistered datatype 'SKGUnitObject' for property 'SKGUnitComboBox::unit'
QMetaProperty::read: Unable to handle unregistered datatype 'SKGUnitObject' for property 'SKGUnitComboBox::unit'

and failed.

I'm running ubuntu 10.10, kernel 2.6.35-32-generic , amd-64, qt4-designer is 4:4.7.0-0ubuntu4.4 .

Following this advice I just:
   - removed skrooge (0.7.3.2-1ubuntu1) ,
   - autoremoved libpyside0.4 libshiboken0.5 skrooge-common, and designer now works

and the problem was solved \o/ .

Thank you.

affects: qt4-x11 (Ubuntu) → skrooge (Ubuntu)
