Simple Scan & Xsane Scan not working

Bug Description

Install on Acer Desktop and Dell laptop. Both programmes identify scanner correctly but fail to scan. Both programmes and scanner (HP Scanjet G2710) working fully in Mint 17.3 OS.

Sorry, Simple Scan and Xsane Scan remains the same, just will not scan.
