Bug Description

The scanner recognizes 2 printers Brother DCPJ-315W, does not scan any of them.
I uninstalled simply scan purging. When reinstalling, still recognizes two printers and still not working.
I deleted the printer of the system, purging again single-scan. I installed the printer again and simple-scan still recognizing two printers without working any of them.

To see if this is already resolved, could you please test http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise to the results?

Hi again. Now appears only one scanner, but there is another issue. I have to press two times the scan button. The first one click in the scan button, it gives me scanner error... The second one click, scans fine.
I have to click alwais one time, wait a few seconds and press again the scan button. I must do this for each Page i need scan.
Thanks for your help.

Hicks, let us focus on one bug (seeing two printers), per report (here).

1) To clarify, you tested 16.10 and you now only see one printer?
2) Regarding the pressing the scan button twice issue, please file a new report, and feel free to subscribe me to it.

Hicks, would you need a backport to a release prior to 16.10, or may this be closed as Status Invalid?
