Bug Description
I just reinstalled Ubuntu 18.04 and installed shutter.
Shutter launches, but the GUI is completely empty (having no controls what so ever).
Additional, I don't see it as an applet on the top-right panel.
So far, Shutter is the most important program that I'm having problems with in 18.04. I'm really hoping it gets fixed, or else I'll have to downgrade back to 16.04 so that I can have a reliable and feature-rich screenshot tool.
In my work, I'm constantly having to make and share screenshots.
Shutter allowed me to:
1) Take a screenshot
2) Draw arrows onto that screenshot and type text onto it.
3) Export the edited screenshot to my web server via FTP.
4) Put a url into my clipboard-memory for pasting into email or chat.
I've not found an alternative that accomplishes these requirements. Other methodologies require multiple tools and way more steps.
Please fix.

Please run Shutter from command line and attach the log output. Also, do you use the Xorg session? Shutter doesn't support Wayland, unfortunately.
