hi Adam,

i use a canon G11, the video are .mov and if i do it in vertical, when i download with shotwell it remains orizzontal.

Thanks for the information. Could you take a 1-second vertical video with your camera and attach it to this ticket? It would be a useful test case for this bug.

not 1 second sorry, another problem i noticed, its impossible have back the photos after you delete them, if i try to get back from stuff recipient shot goes crash and close.

Thanks for the information.  Could you take a 1-second vertical video
with your camera and attach it to this ticket?  It would be a useful

Thanks for the sample video. Both Totem and VLC behave the same way as Shotwell: they play the movie in an horizontal orientation. It's not clear whether the video contains any information that would allow a program to determine its proper orientation. Are you aware of any program which will play it vertically?

Regarding your second observation ("another problem i noticed"), please file a separate bug for that. Each bug report should address only a single issue.

The issue doesn't seems like a shotwell one, or at least not specific to
