Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

I reported it upstream https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=748851, which is a duplicate of https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=718611

The bug has already been fixed in version 0.22, which is not available in the Ubuntu 14.04/15.04 repos, but available in the Yorba PPA.

As this bug is seriously rendering shotwell 0.20 unusable for me, I suggest to update shotwell in the official repos to version 0.22.

The issue is that the new version has UI issues under non gnome-shell environments, not sure if we can update...
