I did a complete reinstall of a server
After installation and configuration of Shorewall (including setting startup=1 in /etc/defaults/
Looking at the backups of my rcX.0 folders, and the rcX.0 folders on the new installation. there was some differences.
Running
"update-rc.d -f shorewall remove",
then
"update-rc.d shorewall defaults"
made shorewall start upon restart as expected.
I would have expected that runlevel scripts were correct after installation of the package
