white background on xfce4-indicator-plugin with non-Greybird themes

When using any GTK theme except Greybird (tested Numix and Albatross) the xfce4-indicator-plugin shows a white background making it harder to see the indicators and breaking the look and feel of the UI.

This is a bug in shimmer-themes (support for Gtk3.14), not the indicator-plugin.

Note that Numix will be fixed and Albatross, Bluebird and Orion aren't maintained anymore and won't be shipped with 15.04 most likely.

Ok, just pushed a fix for Albatross and I'm not sure what version of Numix you're using, but that one works fine here. So that makes this bug either fixed or invalid from my pov.

It's Numix from Numix PPA. I'm bit deep in this, but. It appears stock Appearance control panel app doesn't change GTK theme fully or indicators reading them from wrong place. I installed Gnome Tweak Tool. And it appeared to be different, light, GTK theme out there. Changed it to Numix and ticket on apply dark theme. Restarted xfce (logged off/on) and indicator looks good now.

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 15.04 is no longer supported and support for Ubuntu 15.10 runs out later this week.

I've tried recreating this bug with Xubuntu 16.04 LTS and was unable to with any theme in shimmer-themes (some of the themes were removed before 16.04 LTS because they were old and had bugs like this one). I was also unable to duplicate this bug with Xubuntu 14.04.4 LTS. Therefore, I am closing this bug.

Do feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
