I have shim 15+1552672080.a4a1fbe-0ubuntu1 and shim-signed 1.41+15+1552672080.a4a1fbe-0ubuntu1 installed on my 7th gen Lenovo Carbon X1 and it still fails to boot the firmware updater properly.
