Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help to improve Ubuntu.

Unfortunately, the bug report is now several years old, and an inspection of the autogenerated report shows no details are included showing why the shim-signed package failed to upgrade at the time. Without this information, there is nothing that can be done to fix the bug in question.

There is a good chance that the bug has been fixed since then.

Marking this bug incomplete and leaving it open on the off chance that you are still having problems in this area and can provide additional information.
