package shim-signed 1.33.1~16.04.1+13-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

while opening xgterm i get an error:

xgterm: error while loading shared libraries: libXmu.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I tried installing

sudo apt-get install libxmu-dev

and i got this error.
