Bug Description

Recent upgrade of hardware to 8 core AMD from i5- so architecture went from IBM1156 motherboard to AMD AM3+.
The old sys worked by me selecting at boot which I wanted to boot (either Win7x64) or Linux (Ubuntu 16.11. So the new board wanted Windows to load drivers, but I want Linux to be the boss. So it has errors now, I think it's due to GRUB config. I would like Ubuntu to be on my SSD too, as there are two SSD's and two older USB drives. My old system started to squeal horribly, changed video card, etc. but after complete disassembly and all it still squealed. Replacing capacitors in PS did not help. Gave up and bought current sys. Asus M5A97 LE R2.0, 8GB 1333, AMD 8350 Wraith, and at 70 years young should have introduced the CPU/MB to the SSD's one at a time, then the other spinning drives. Just need help to clean up the GRUB issue.
Thank you all for your help!
Allan Radcliffe

I fixed it by formatting everything in sight and reinstalling the 17.04
upgrade. No more conflicts it seems. Thank you so much for your time and
effort to make it a better World!
