Bug Description

Acer aspire V will not install until after you tell the firmware to ignore security in EFI then add the shim to the approved booting images list in the bootloader.

Model Acer Aspire V5-561P-6869 Latest Bios, Windows 8.1 upgraded with fastboot turned off. Followed instruction all the way.

Clearly the BIOS is unaware of anything except Windows.

15.04 installed from DVD checksum correct and Media checked.
