Bug Description

At the end of the upgrade, a dialog box appeared "The upgrade has aborted. Your system could be in an unstable state. A recovery will run now (dpkg -configure - a). Nothing happened after closing the dialog box.

After shutdown, boot up failed after grub tries to load something with this message "Starting up....", then after 10 seconds this message "Gave up waiting for root device., common problems:.....ALERT! UUID = 2476e......does not exist.

The the boot process stopped at the initramfs prompt.

Have the same problem, close of error message fails "ERROR: Cannot create report: [Errno 17] File exists: '/var/crash/shared-mime-info.0.crash'
upgrade hang afterwards; last line: Unpacking libcairo2:i386
