When initially installing:
Saving state of known serial devices... backing up /var/lib/
Then after installation:
$ sudo /etc/init.
Loading the saved-state of the serial devices...
/dev/ttyS0 at 0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A
/dev/ttyS1 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A
$ sudo /etc/init.

With this patch, the following are the changes:
After installing the package: setserial/ autoserial. conf... [ ok ]
* Saving state of known serial devices...
* Backing up /var/lib/
$ sudo /etc/init. d/setserial start
* Loading the saved state of the serial devices... [ ok ]
$ sudo /etc/init. d/setserial stop
Note: this doesn't update the m68k version of the init script... do you need both modified to apply this?
