Binary package hint: sessioninstaller
this happened after I tried to install in Vbox, after "installation" completed, there is a blank screen(Ubuntu background) with nothing else, ie places, applications, admin/preferences, basically no menu items at top of screen, this after one reboot and this happened a previous time with similar results.
